District Award of Merit Recipients

The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils. The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level.

Award for Gracious Service

The Award for Gracious Service  is given to a volunteer within the Briones District that, as the name implies, gives gracious service to others.  The individual  goes out of their way to help their units and their community.

Distinguished Commissioner Service

The Briones District Award for Distinguished Commissioner Service given to a Commissioner that exemplifies the best in Servant Leadership to their Units and the District.

Charles P. Savage Award for Exceptional Program Leadership

Chuck Savage was the visionary leader behind the formation of the Briones District.  Unfortunately, he suddenly passed away before he could see his vision realized. The Chuck Savage Award for Exceptional Program Leadership is given to a leader within the Briones District that exemplifies the best in program leadership, with Leadership and Vision that goes above and beyond what is asked.
